Nara Roesler, the gallery known for Brazilian and Latin American contemporary art, is showing Rodolpho Parigi in "window" at 91 Walker Street in Manhattan. The exhibition runs from October 9, 2026 to January 9, 2027. The gallery's main New York space is on West 21st Street, so this presentation takes place away from its home address.

Parigi now lives in New York and works from a studio at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts. His practice spans painting, drawing and performance, and it is known for vivid, surreal-tinged imagery. Technical virtuosity and a distinctive visual language let him dissolve the lines between figuration and abstraction, and between the familiar and the strange.

The show gathers a recent group of works concerned with the fluidity and transformation of the body. Parigi unsettles the boundary between the natural and the artificial, drawing on art history, fetish aesthetics, queer experience and pop culture. Through these references, the works question conventional ideas of identity, corporeality and representation.

Parigi has already earned significant institutional recognition in Brazil. His work is in the collections of the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand (MASP), the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR). This presentation is part of a one-year collaboration between Nara Roesler and Anton Kern Gallery, and it marks a notable moment in his career, extending his presence in New York and deepening his dialogue with the city's contemporary art scene.

For visitors, the show offers a concentrated look at the current work of a Brazilian-born painter who has made New York his base. Its downtown location makes it easy to pair with a walk around Chinatown and Tribeca.
