Nepenthes New York Held a Late-Night Sushi and DJ Party at Nublu in the East Village, NYC

On Saturday, October 17, Nepenthes New York held a "Special Night" at Nublu, the Avenue C venue in the East Village, in collaboration with rawlikesushi_nyc. Doors opened at 10pm. The Japanese label's New York branch took the party out of its shop and into a music room, pairing DJ sets with food.
The lineup, as credited in rawlikesushi_nyc's own post, had fresh_rollman and kazuya___s opening, with music by chairmanmaonyc. Fresh_rollman also made the sushi, so guests had a sushi night running alongside the DJ sets rather than a typical retail launch.
The other piece of the night was merchandise. A rawlikesushi_nyc × nepenthes_newyork post from the morning of the party said the collaboration items would be sold at the event on October 17. The photo shows a white pocket T-shirt. The chest carries a small circular graphic with the RAW LIKE SUSHI and NEPENTHES NEW YORK names. The back has a large black-and-white pattern of looping, wave-like shapes, with RAW LIKE SUSHI above it and NEPENTHES NEW YORK below.
The day before, on October 16, rawlikesushi_nyc also posted a thank-you to Buckwild of D.I.T.C., tagging both Nepenthes New York and the account humanheadnyc. The photo shows a man in a RAW cap and a dark jacket standing in a record shop, and the post carried #buckwild and #ditc.
Nublu is a live-music and club venue on Avenue C. Its own Instagram promotes everything from live-band nights to two-floor parties, one floor of live music and one with records on vinyl. Nepenthes, the Japanese brand with a store in New York, used it for a night built around friends in the local scene rather than a store event. Updates from the shop are collected at linktr.ee/nepenthesny, and the brand posts its events on Instagram at @nepenthes_newyork.
