On Friday, November 6 at 7 PM, Caveat on the Lower East Side hosts the world premiere of Wayward: A love letter to other possible lives, a solo storytelling show. It runs for one night only, in person and livestreamed.

The story follows a professor who discovers an underground circus in Shanghai. It starts from a question many people recognize: what do you do when the life you worked so hard to build may not be the right one for you? The show is about detours, new paths and the strange power of getting lost. The official description calls it part confession, part comedy, part Ph.D. education and part globetrotting adventure, and promises something raw, intimate and funny for anyone who has looked around and wondered whether this is all there is.

Andrea Jones-Rooy wrote and performs the piece. Arielle Beth Klein directs.

Caveat is at 21A Clinton St., New York, NY 10002. The venue is fully accessible. Guests who need the elevator can call (212) 228-2100, a number also posted on the door.

Tickets are sold through Caveat's event page. In-person tickets are $10 off with the code WAYWARD-SKINT. Seats are limited, and there is only one performance, so a Friday night at Caveat is the only chance to see it in the room. The livestream gives anyone who can't make it to Clinton Street a way to watch the premiere.
