New York comedian Jill Weiner is recording her debut comedy special on Thursday, Oct. 22, at Parkside Lounge, 317 E Houston St on the Lower East Side. The working title is "SOUP FREAK." Because it's taped in front of a live audience, the room itself becomes part of the finished special.
There are two shows, at 7pm and 9:30pm. Connor Creagan hosts, with Courtney Maginnis and other guests on the bill. Weiner has worked rooms across the city, including New York Comedy Club, The Grisly Pear and The Tiny Cupboard, and she headlines in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on Nov. 1.
