Inma Barrero's first show at Lévy Gorvy Dayan presents eight large sculptures, all shown for the first time. Each is built from hundreds of handmade ceramic beads strung on metal wire and evokes a maternal figure drawn from prehistoric, ancient and modern cultures. The beads draw on rosaries, worry beads and Buddhist prayer beads, and the clay includes soils from Japan, Mexico and Spain. It closes October 17.
