Patina of Time: The Clay Art of Iguchi Daisuke

Tochigi-born ceramicist Iguchi Daisuke (b. 1975) returns to the gallery a decade after his first international solo show here. Nearly thirty new works, made for the exhibition, show coil-built vessels of Ibaraki rice-paddy clay, ash-coated and brushed to a weathered finish, then traced with precise silver-slip lines. The show approaches time and memory through surface. Open weekdays, 11am to 6pm.
