Target SoHo, on the corner of Broadway and Houston Street, has finished remaking its lower level. The work comes nearly a year after the store reopened in its current form, and Target says it completes the shift of the SoHo location into a style- and design-led destination.
The floor is divided into themed zones drawn from everyday New York life. Bullseye Loft is the home area, where products from Target's Threshold brand appear in shoppable living spaces. Balance Mart covers wellness, with expanded men's grooming, trending wellness brands and Korean beauty. Explorers' Lab turns toys and entertainment into an interactive space built around imagination, storytelling and New York culture.
Food gets the most theatrical treatment. The Snack Bar brings New York streetscapes indoors, with a corner store and a newsstand showing grab-and-go items from emerging brands such as Wilde and Cadootz. A Seasonal Shopping Bar rotates its stock and includes sweet and savory items from Favorite Day. The food and beverage section has been reworked as a modern city market.
Something Special Studios designed the space, fitting it within the column grid of the existing cast-iron building. A custom shade called Cherry Stain Red now sits alongside the familiar Target Red.
Michelle Mesenburg, Target's chief brand officer, said the goal is to turn everyday essentials into moments of inspiration. More SoHo-exclusive products, collectibles and experiences are planned for 2027.
For a SoHo shopping break, the lower level is the place to start. It's a convenient stop for household basics, New York-styled snacks and K-beauty between walks through the neighborhood.
