Watermark, the 10,000-square-foot venue at the tip of Pier 15 in the Seaport, is running its Oktoberfest through October 31. The season began September 10, and the setting is hard to beat: the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges and the skyline sit right across the water.

The menu follows the German playbook. Expect German beer, brats and other wursts off the grill, beer-braised turkey legs, giant pretzels, food samplers and sweets. There are games and live music, and the event is open to all ages. A full bar also serves wine, margaritas and cocktails. The signature extra is the 5-liter German mini beer keg, offered here exclusively.

General admission is free. For those who want to drink more freely, a VIP two-hour open bar cocktail pass starts at $33.25, with tickets sold through Bucketlisters via the Seaport's event page. The venue is at 78 South Street, Pier 15.

With only days left in October, this is an easy after-work or weekend plan for anyone who wants a beer outdoors on the water before the cold sets in, no trip to Munich required.
