L'industrie Pizzeria, a slice shop often named among New York's best, has opened its third location at 197 Grand Street in Little Italy. The business began in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 2017 and already runs a West Village shop. Time Out reported the plan in February and said it would open in spring; the Infatuation and Secret NYC coverage from April and May confirms it is now serving.

Chef and owner Massimo Laveglia is from Florence. The pizzas are built on fermented dough and topped with ingredients imported from Italy, according to Secret NYC. The burrata slice is the shop's signature. The Infatuation also points to the margherita, with its crunchy, puffy crust and lightly sweet sauce, a salty and greasy pepperoni offset by basil, a spicy salami slice with thin-cut imported salami, and a fig jam slice. Secret NYC lists a new Early Bird slice with bacon, sausage, egg and white mozzarella. For dessert there are bombolone, olive oil cake, tiramisu and millefeuille, plus gelato and a soft serve machine.

The Infatuation describes the Little Italy room as more of a pizza factory than the older shops. You can watch the pies being made behind the counter, and a Rocky III poster hangs on the wall. There is no seating, only counter space where people stand over metal trays to eat. The review says the place is often packed but the line moves quickly.

The shop sits right beside Ferrara, an Italian bakery that Secret NYC says is 134 years old, so a cannoli is a short step away. Secret NYC expects even longer lines here because this is one of the city's busiest tourist neighborhoods. For readers who want a classic New York standing slice, or who are already walking through Little Italy, this is an easy addition to the route.
