Titán has opened at 5 Front Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn, with a kitchen inspired by Northern Mexico. The restaurant describes itself as built for its Brooklyn neighbors.

Alan Delgado, chef and partner, runs the food. Ivy Mix, bar director and partner, runs the drinks. Lauren Broder, managing partner, led the design, and managing partner Julian Brizzi is also part of the team.

The bar centers on seasonal micheladas and a lineup of Mexican spirits: mezcal, tequila and sotol. Sotol, a spirit long associated with the north of the country, is less familiar to many drinkers than the other two, and it fits the restaurant's regional focus.

The space has two parts: a terracotta dining room and a backyard. Separate dinner, drinks and brunch menus are offered.

Titán is open Tuesday through Friday from 5 to 10pm. On Saturday and Sunday, brunch runs 11am to 3pm and dinner 5 to 10pm. It is closed Mondays. Reservations are taken through the restaurant's website, and gift cards are available. The phone number is 347-352-8008.
