Brooklyn Pop-Up x Old Stone House Fall Artisans Bazaar and Traditional Makers Fair

Two markets share one day around Washington Park in Park Slope on Saturday, October 17. Brooklyn Pop-Up, which organizes pop-up markets across the borough, is teaming up with the Old Stone House for an annual Fall Artisans Bazaar and a brand-new Traditional Makers Fair. Together they bring more than 100 local artisans, running from 10am to 5pm.

The Traditional Makers Fair is the new addition. It focuses on people who work with long-established techniques and emphasizes hand-crafting across print design, glassblowing, ceramics, handmade woodworking, metalsmithing, weaving, knitting, crochet and more. The framing is Brooklyn's immigrant heritage, which has shaped American manufacturing and design for generations, and the fair presents those traditions as still alive. You'll find these makers in the 4th Street Plaza.

The Fall Bazaar is the established half of the day. It gathers local makers, designers and independent businesses for a harvest-season, holiday-minded shopping market. The layout wraps around Washington Park: along Fifth Avenue between 3rd and 4th Streets, down 3rd Street, and in a loop around the Old Stone House itself, at 336 3rd Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215.

The event is open to all ages and is held outdoors, with about seven hours of open time. If the weather turns severe, the backup date is Sunday, October 18, with the same 10am to 5pm hours.

For visitors used to Japanese craft traditions, this is a chance to talk directly with makers about technique, from glass and clay to woven and knitted textiles, and to browse a wide range of handmade goods in one walkable stretch of the park.
