HOKA is running a two-day pop-up called the HOKA Fly Station in Williamsburg on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, in the run-up to the NYC Marathon. The brand's Instagram promises fresh race-day shoes, pre-marathon bites, good music and "all the NYC energy," under the hashtag #LetsFlyNYC. The event page describes it as a live destination inspired by the sound, movement and energy of the city.

The food and drink lineup starts with bites from Nick + Sons, followed in the afternoon by dishes from ultramarathon runner and chef Christopher LaMagna, plus beverages from OM Juices. Visitors can also customize a special HOKA tote bag with LQQK Studios.

Music comes from A–Z Radio (Wax Studios), which curates the sound of the space with a rotating selection of local NYC DJs. HOKA's photos from the space show a DJ booth flanked by large speakers, a wall of local playlists you can listen to on headphones, and blue Fly Station vinyl records.
On Saturday at 10 a.m., two run crews, Queens-based World's Fair Run Crew and Black Distance, host a shakeout run that starts and ends at the Fly Station. Refreshments follow, and then comes private shopping with exclusive offers, giveaways and light bites.
The Fly Station is open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, at 96 N 5th Street in Brooklyn. Separately, the Old Friend Photo Booth at 243 Berry St is giving out free photo strips all weekend, Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. HOKA is among several running brands hosting marathon-week events across the city, alongside names such as Brooks, New Balance and Nike.
