Old Friend Photobooth, the photobooth studio on Berry Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, has teamed up with running brand HOKA for this year's NYC Marathon. According to the studio's Instagram, the booth is inviting people to "Capture Your Marathon Moment," under the hashtag #LetsFlyNYC.
The takeover runs Friday, October 30, through Sunday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. That leaves today, October 31, and Marathon Sunday itself. The location is 243 Berry Street.
Secret NYC's marathon roundup reports that HOKA is taking over the Williamsburg location, with free photos for everyone. People who use the booth also receive a discount, redeemable in store at the new HOKA Williamsburg location, which is set to open this fall.
The images Old Friend shared give a sense of the look. One is an instant photo of a pair of feet in white HOKA sneakers stepping out of the booth. The other shows a photo strip resting on the booth's round stool, with "26.2" visible on it, a nod to the marathon distance in miles.
The photobooth is one part of a larger HOKA program for marathon weekend. The brand is also running a HOKA Fly Station at 96 N 5th Street in Brooklyn on October 30 and 31, with listening sessions, live DJ sets, panel conversations, local bites and onsite customization.
HOKA started in France, and its shoes are sold in Japan as well. For readers in New York for the race, whether running or cheering, the booth offers a free keepsake photo close to the Williamsburg waterfront.
