Nets allow season high to Anthony Davis in loss against Lakers.
Nets vs Lakers | Nov.13, 22
The Nets played away from home against the Lakers, who were without LeBron James for the second consecutive game on January 13th local time.
The Nets were unable to make any 3-pointers at all (7%) and had a difficult first half, always trailing. In the third quarter, Davis scored one after the other, and at one point the difference was double-digit points, but Durant hit 3s in rapid succession to close the gap to 3 points, 77-80, heading into the final quarter. The fourth quarter of the game was close until the midway point, but Austin Reeves, Walker IV, and Davis, who was in great form on this day, widened the gap quickly, and the Nets lost the game 103-116.
For the Lakers, Anthony Davis had a season-high 37 points and 18 rebounds. Durant was steady for the Nets with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Harris, Sumner, Yuta Watanabe, and Thomas all scored in double figures.
The Nets, who had been on a roll since promoting Jack Bourne to new HC, were unable to gain momentum after losing to the slumping Lakers, who were on the verge of a 50% winning margin.
The Nets will play the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, on Nov 15.
