T.J. Warren returns after almost 2 years! Nets beat Raptors for 4th straight win!
Nets vs Raptors | Dec.02, 22
The Brooklyn Nets played the Toronto Raptors at home at Barclays Center. In the first quarter, the Nets were 6/7 on 3-pointers, including three by Joe Harris, and 75% on FGs, scoring a season-high 41 points, including all quarters, to lead by 24 points. T.J. Warren also returned to the court for the first time since December 2020 to warm cheers from the stands. He immediately made a field goal and received a huge cheer. The Nets led by 36 points midway through the second quarter and held a 93-72 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Raptors scored 11 straight points to close the gap to 110-103 after a dunk by Scottie Barnes with 37 seconds left, but Seth Curry made two free throws and the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Toronto Raptors 114-105.
Kyrie Irving scored 27 points and Joe Harris made 5 of 7 3-pointers for his third straight game in double figures, scoring 17 points. The returning T.J. Warren scored 10 points in 16:38 of action. Warren's return is expected to reduce the playing time of 34-year-old Kevin Durant. Siakam had 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists for the Raptors, Anunoby scored 21 points, and Barnes added 17 points.
The next game is against first place Boston, who lost in the playoffs last year, and will be a test of the evolution of the Nets, who are on a four game winning streak.
