The Brooklyn Nets welcomed the Charlotte Hornets to their home Barclays Center for a game. The Nets were shooting well from the start, opened the first half with an 18-point lead, 73-55. In the second half, the Hornets took a turn for the worse and were one point game at in the fourth quarter, but Kyrie Irving made the winning free throw and field goal to escape with a 116-122 win for the Nets.
Kyrie Irving scored 33 points and had a career-high four blocks. Kevin Durant scored 29 points and Seth Curry had 20 points off the bench. Terry Rozier scored 29 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. had 28 points, but a poor 12-23 free throw performance separated the winners.
Yuta Watanabe missed his ninth straight game. The Nets will next face the Atlanta Hawks in the final game of a seven-game home stand. The Nets are 5-1 in their last seven home games.
