The outdoor ice rink at The Standard, High Line in the Meatpacking District starts its winter season on November 9 and stays open through February 28, 2027 It sits at the southern end of the High Line, which makes it an easy add-on to a walk along the park. The hotel describes the rink as "a little glice, a little mischief, and a lot of winter magic." Beyond skating, the program includes hot cocoa from La Maison du Chocolat, bites, festive drinks and what the hotel calls plenty of surprises The pitch is to make a full day or night of it, not just a quick lap. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12, with skate rentals at $10 Access is first come, first served An adult who needs rental skates will pay $30 in total. Hours vary by day Monday through Wednesday the rink is open 3 to 9pm, and Thursday and Friday 3 to 10pm Saturday and Sunday it opens at noon and runs until 10pm On Sundays, family skate lessons run from noon to 4pm, which makes that window a good bet for parents with young children. For an after-work skate, weekday evenings fit best Weekend afternoons suit a slower visit The rink pairs naturally with the Whitney Museum and Chelsea Market nearby, so it can anchor a half day in the neighborhood The hotel posts additional updates, specials and happenings on its Instagram account, @thestandardgrillnyc. The Standard, High Line is at 848 Washington Street
