John Cena Returns to WWE RAW in Brooklyn: First RAW Since His Retirement (Nov. 2, Barclays Center)

John Cena is coming to Brooklyn. WWE confirmed that Cena will appear on Monday Night RAW at Barclays Center on Monday, November 2 — his first time on RAW since he retired from in-ring competition in December 2025. WWE made the announcement during the October 26 episode and followed up on X: "John Cena returns to #WWERaw NEXT WEEK in Brooklyn."

The night is billed as "Two Shows, One Night": RAW goes out live, then SmackDown is taped in the same arena. RAW streams live on Netflix with a special early start time of 6 p.m. ET.

Eleven months after the last match

Cena wrestled his final match on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington, D.C., where Gunther made him tap out to a sleeper hold — a rare submission loss in a career built on never giving up.

Since then he has hosted WrestleMania 42 and, at Backlash on May 9, announced a new event: the John Cena Classic.

"The speculation ends 11/2"

WWE has not said what Cena will do on the show. On October 27 he posted on X, "The wait is over, the speculation ends 11/2," and flagged the "SPECIAL START TIME OF 6PM EST!"

The likely headline is the John Cena Classic. According to reports, the tournament will put NXT talent against main-roster Superstars, with fan voting deciding the winner — so a wrestler could lose a match and still win — and the winner taking home the John Cena Classic Championship. Cena has said it will happen in December, but the date, venue and full format have not been announced.

This RAW is also the last one before Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 7, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE.com's event page lists Cena alongside Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Liv Morgan and Jade Cargill among the featured Superstars, and Solo Sikoa vs. Royce Keys has been announced.
