Ouattara Watts at Karma, Chelsea

Karma presents a solo exhibition by Ouattara Watts at its Chelsea gallery, 549 West 26th Street, from November 5 to December 19, 2026. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, from 6 to 8 pm.

Watts is among the artists represented by Karma, which maintains a dedicated artist page on its website. The exhibition page includes a Works section where images of the presentation are posted. The piece shown so far is an untitled work from 2025, made in mixed media on canvas and measuring 84 by 144 inches, or roughly 213 by 366 centimeters. That is a large horizontal format, which suggests the show will give paintings generous wall space.

For visitors, the scale alone is a reason to see the work in person rather than on a screen. Chelsea's gallery district is dense with exhibitions, and a show of large-format canvases fits well into an afternoon of gallery-hopping along the High Line and the surrounding blocks.

Karma is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, and closed Sunday and Monday. The run lasts about six weeks, so there is time to plan a visit. The opening night draws a crowd of artists, collectors and friends of the gallery; those who prefer to look at the paintings in quiet may find a weekday visit during the run more comfortable.

The gallery can be reached by phone at 212 717 1671. Karma also operates spaces in Los Angeles and Thomaston, Maine, but this exhibition is presented in New York.
