Faena New York in Chelsea is turning its bar and lounge, The Living Room, into a Halloween party on two nights: Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31. The hotel's theme this year is Memento Mori, an invitation to celebrate the present and revel in the night while it lasts.

Doors run from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. both nights. The program combines theatrical performances, live music and DJ sets, and guests are asked to come in costume. Faena describes it as a night built for dancing, indulgence and a little mischief.

General admission is $250 and includes a premium open bar. Groups can instead book a table with bottle service and a chef's selection of canapés. On Oct. 31 there is also a private VIP package. Reservations for each night are made through links on the Faena website.

For a meal first, La Boca by Francis Mallmann, the hotel's Argentine restaurant, is suggesting guests begin the evening at its tables, with cocktails and live music, before heading to the party.

Faena is also selling a Halloween stay. It includes two general admission tickets to The Living Room celebration, a themed welcome amenity and daily breakfast for two at La Boca, with the room an elevator ride from the party.

The hotel is at 500 West 18th Street. Reservations can also be made by phone at 212-545-8100.
