Anton Kern Gallery will present Ellen Gronemeyer: DEJA VU from November 11, 2026 through January 16, 2027. The title, set in capitals, borrows the French term for the sensation of having already lived through something that is happening for the first time, and it frames the exhibition for the length of its run.

The show is held at the gallery's space at 16 East 55th Street in Midtown East, a short walk from Fifth Avenue. The area is dense with offices, hotels and museums, and its character differs from the gallery clusters of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. That makes the visit easy to combine with other errands or sightseeing in the neighborhood.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm, and does not keep weekend hours. The opening date, November 11, falls on a Wednesday. The closing date, January 16, 2027, is a Saturday, so the last weekday on which the show can be seen is Friday, January 15. Because the run spans the year-end holidays, it is worth planning the visit with some margin.

Separately from the main space, the gallery operates WINDOW at 91 Walker Street, on the corner of Walker and Lafayette Streets. It is a street-facing display visible around the clock. It is not the venue for this exhibition, but it is a convenient stop for anyone already downtown.

The gallery can be reached at 212.367.9663 or at info@antonkerngallery.com for general inquiries.
