FAD Market Fall Pop-up at Empire Stores in DUMBO, NYC: Free Maker Market Nov. 7–8

FAD Market, the New York maker market built around fashion, art and design, is back at Empire Stores in DUMBO this Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8. The weekend closes out a run of monthly fall pop-ups at the waterfront venue that began in September. Hours are 11am to 6pm both days.

According to the organizer, more than 35 makers, designers and small creative businesses from New York and beyond will set up inside. The lineup covers handmade jewelry, apparel, bath and body care, tableware and artisanal packaged food. The market sits in the industrial arcade on the ground floor of Empire Stores, one of DUMBO's best-known buildings, in the neighborhood's historic waterfront district.

The surroundings are part of the draw. Empire Stores also houses Time Out Market, with more than 20 food vendors and a rooftop with views, along with Cecconi's, ABC Kitchens, West Elm and Dumbo House. Nearby, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Jane's Carousel and DUMBO's cobblestone streets and public art are an easy walk after shopping.
