On Sunday, November 1, race day, the venue is running a "26.2 Recovery Brunch": show your marathon bib or finisher medal and you get one complimentary brunch entrée plus your choice of a Magic Mimosa or a cold-pressed juice.

Magic Hour describes itself as New York's largest indoor/outdoor rooftop bar and lounge, with views of the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline. It stays open year-round, with an open-air deck and an indoor lounge. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM and is open to all ages. The brunch menu includes a huge stack of pancakes, Big AF Crookies, sandwiches and salads, along with specialty cocktails such as the Moira Rose and Doctor's Orders.

Outside brunch hours, Magic Hour is 21+, and a valid physical ID is required, as photocopies are not accepted. Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations are recommended for seated service through OpenTable. Reservations carry a 15-minute grace period, and parties of 15 or more should use the custom reservation inquiry form. Saturday hours are 11:30 AM to 4 AM and Sunday hours are 11:30 AM to midnight.

The rooftop sits at 485 7th Avenue at 36th Street, in Midtown near Madison Square Garden, Penn Station and the Theater District. For Japanese readers in town for the race, either as runners or spectators, it is one of several marathon-weekend deals around the city.
