An authentic French bakery that boasts the best taste in New York City!

An authentic French bakery located along Driggs Ave, one street east of Bedford Ave. The bakery is marked by its bicycle logo and is so popular that customers line up early in the morning.
French owner Flo has wanted to be a baker since he was 6 years old, entered a bakery apprenticeship program at the age of 13, and at 16 became certified and started his career as a head baker. He then worked in bakeries around the world, gaining additional knowledge and experience before opening his own bakery in Brooklyn.
There are three locations, one in Williamsburg and one in Fort Greene and Carroll Gardens, open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The bakery is so beloved by the locals that lines begin to form as soon as the store opens, and it is quite crowded on weekends.

The store offers a wide variety of breads, from hard breads such as baguettes and campagnes to croissants and pie-type pastries, and the popular sandwiches sell out early, so you will be lucky if you can purchase one.

There are many places to window shop around the store, including cafes, restaurants, movie theaters, and thrift stores, etc. If you go north on Driggs Ave, you will find the McCarren Park, and conversely, if you go to the waterfront, you will find Domino Park and the Williamsburg Bridge, so you can buy bread early in the morning and have breakfast at the park. I recommend a course of having breakfast while having a picnic, and then taking your time to go sightseeing and shopping around Williamsburg! By the way, it is a New Yorker's style to eat a baguette while tearing it off with one hand. Take the plunge and buy a baguette and tuck it under your arm for a taste of Brooklynites.

Innovative bagel store breathing new life into the New York bagel world

LEON'S BAGELS opened at the end of 2023 along Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and quickly became a popular store with long lines of customers every day. With a clean white exterior and a simple, yet striking green logo under the eaves, it is hard to believe that this is a bagel store, but the store has a sophisticated appearance. The first store opened in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, and a second store opened soon after in Williamsburg. The name LEON, which is also used in the store name, was inspired by the owner's grandfather, who valued community. The store's theme is "Nothing Fancy," based on the belief that only simple and delicious bagels can unite people, and stylish original goods such as key chains, caps, and tote bags with the words "Nothing Fancy" designed on them are also available for sale.
