lafayette grand café & bakery

View on Map

A French restaurant with a bakery in the Noho. The swirl-shaped croissants sold at this bakery are now attracting a great deal of attention in New York City. Newly appointed head baker Scott Cioe was tasked with creating a photogenic and beautiful product to regain customers after the pandemic, and the result in 2022 is a swirl-shaped croissant called Supreme. The beautifully arched circular croissant can even stand upright against the camera, making it truly photogenic. There is a long line outside the store for these croissants, and more than 100 people stand in line at any given time. In addition to the standard chocolate and pistachio flavors, seasonal flavors such as roseberry and pumpkin are also available each time. Priced at $9.50 each, the most popular flavor is pistachio. The purchase is limited to one per person, and it is recommended to go with several people!

Other Croissant products are also of high quality.

In addition to the very popular croissants, there is a selection of donuts, sandwiches, and French bread. All of them look great and are very tasty, so you can enjoy them even if the croissants are sold out.

Innovative bagel store breathing new life into the New York bagel world

LEON'S BAGELS opened at the end of 2023 along Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and quickly became a popular store with long lines of customers every day. With a clean white exterior and a simple, yet striking green logo under the eaves, it is hard to believe that this is a bagel store, but the store has a sophisticated appearance. The first store opened in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, and a second store opened soon after in Williamsburg. The name LEON, which is also used in the store name, was inspired by the owner's grandfather, who valued community. The store's theme is "Nothing Fancy," based on the belief that only simple and delicious bagels can unite people, and stylish original goods such as key chains, caps, and tote bags with the words "Nothing Fancy" designed on them are also available for sale.
