Bushwick

SEY, a Brooklyn coffee roastery that seasonally sources and roasts their own beans, offers a variety of coffees, originating from Ethiopia, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Honduras. In addition to being a wholesaler, they have a cafe on Gratton Street in Bushwick, an artsy neighborhood with a large community of young people. The menu includes their own speciality roasts, as well as a fascinating selection of teas. While the airy cafe is inviting, they have a no laptop policy. It’s better to take the coffee to go and stroll through the neighborhood, where you can discover the many murals for which Bushwick is known. SEY is a gratuity-free.

The coffee beans for sale are packaged in a simple design with a card inserted into the box. The coffee served is in compostable coffee cups. This is a very cozy coffee shop where you can see the care and attention to detail.

Innovative bagel store breathing new life into the New York bagel world

LEON'S BAGELS opened at the end of 2023 along Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg and quickly became a popular store with long lines of customers every day. With a clean white exterior and a simple, yet striking green logo under the eaves, it is hard to believe that this is a bagel store, but the store has a sophisticated appearance. The first store opened in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, and a second store opened soon after in Williamsburg. The name LEON, which is also used in the store name, was inspired by the owner's grandfather, who valued community. The store's theme is "Nothing Fancy," based on the belief that only simple and delicious bagels can unite people, and stylish original goods such as key chains, caps, and tote bags with the words "Nothing Fancy" designed on them are also available for sale.
